Proven weight gain advantage
The weighted average of 134 trials conducted by Elanco in Australia over the past 20 years shows that cattle implanted with Compudose have a 15.8% liveweight gain advantage compared to non-implanted cattle.(1) This advantage was even higher in southern Australia. Compudose implants can maximise the profitability of your beef operation by increasing total production or allowing your cattle to achieve critical market specifications sooner. Thousands of beef producers in northern and southern Australia use implants to maximise growth rates in their cattle.
How Compudose works
Compudose implants contain oestradiol-17ß, a naturally-occurring oestrogen found in all mammals, including cattle and humans. Oestrogens are female sex hormones that stimulate the animal’s endocrine system via the pituitary gland to release the animal’s own natural growth hormones, resulting in increased cell production and proliferation. Compudose-G also contains trenbolone acetate, a male sex hormone that stimulates lean meat production by increasing the accumulation of protein inside the muscle cells.
