Compudose™

Compudose™ is proven to maximise growth rates and production efficiency in beef cattle1

Compudose™ 100, 200 and 400

Compudose™ 100, 200 and 400 contain oestradiol-17ß, a naturally-occurring oestrogen. Each formulation consists of an inert silicone rubber core covered with a coating of oestradiol-medicated silicone rubber. The durable core helps in preventing crushing or breaking during implantation, ensuring consistent pay out and long-term performance. The active ingredient is slowly released into the bloodstream providing a daily dose above the threshold for growth promotion over 100, 200 and 400 days, respectively.

Compudose™ 400 is the only implant that has a payout period of 400 days, meaning that it maximises growth rates year round.

The majority of processors and feedlots accept Hormonal Growth Promotant (HGP) treated cattle.

The premiums required when targeting a HGP-free market need to be significant to offset any lower productivity from not using a HGP.2 An independent economic study found that the additional weight gain advantage provided by implants routinely deliver higher returns than implant-free cattle, even when market premiums are considered.3

Compudose™ G

Compudose™ G contains oestradiol and trenbolone acetate (TBA), a synthetic androgen. Compudose™ G consists of three compressed pellets using a cholesterol carrier that are quickly absorbed into the bloodstream after implantation. Compudose™ G is a short-acting implant that has a minimum re-implant interval of 70 days. For best results, Compudose™ G should only be used under very good nutritional conditions and ideally, as a terminal implant.
