CLiKZiN™ Spray-On contains the same proven active ingredient found in CLiK™ Spray-On, dicyclanil. At a lower concentration than CLiK™ Spray-On, CLiKZiN™ Spray-On provides the benefit of short meat and wool withholding periods and a minimal 21 day ESI whilst still providing protection against fly strike for up to 11 weeks. CLiKZiN™ Spray-On offers marketing flexibility; making it ideally suited for protecting sheep intended for slaughter, for lambs following marking or for use late in the fly season.

Important Safety Information

Prior to use, please consult the product label for complete instructions. May irritate the eyes and skin. Avoid contact with eyes and skin. When opening the container and using the product, wear elbow length rubber gloves. Wash hands after use. After treatment, wait until sheep are dry before rehandling.

Withholding Periods

MILK: DO NOT USE on ewes that are producing or may in the future produce milk or milk products for human consumption.

WOOL: DO NOT USE less than 1 month before shearing or fibre collection.

Use of this product may result in wool residues that may not comply with European Union environmental quality standards. Wool treated with this product may contain detectable residues; adequate treatment records should be kept and made available, if requested by wool buyers.

MEAT: DO NOT USE less than 7 days before slaughter for human consumption.

Export Slaughter Interval

DO NOT USE less than 21 days before slaughter for export.

Directions For Use

DO NOT dilute.
DO NOT mix with any other product.
DO NOT USE on sheep off-shears, but may be used from 3 weeks after shearing.

DO NOT apply during gusty or windy weather as spray drift may reduce the period of protection. It is good agricultural practice for marking to be carried out at times of minimal fly activity. Reduced efficacy may occur in sheep affected with dermatophilosis. Significant soiling with dags, mud, dust or urine may reduce efficacy. Where significant dags are present, a light crutching is indicated prior to treatment. Protection period may be reduced if sheep scour heavily following application.

Critical Comments

1. Use only a spray-on applicator gun recommended by Elanco.
2. Ensure the applicator gun is clean.
3. Calibrate the applicator gun using an accurate volume measure.
4. Ensure all areas to be protected are treated.
5. When preventing body strike ensure bands overlap along the midline (Diagram 1).
6. When protecting marking wounds from fly strike, take special care to treat the wound and surrounding wool (Diagram 2).
7. This product is not recommended for treating existing strikes. Use a product registered as a dressing for existing strikes (e.g. Extinosad™ Aerosol, Extinosad™ Eliminator).
8. Heavy rain following the application of this product could diminish the period of protection.
9. CLiKZiN™ Spray-On contains a scourable colouring agent for easy band identification.
10. Withholding periods must be observed following application of CLiKZiN™ Spray-On for any purpose including after marking as finite residues will occur.

Recommended Applicators

Use only an Elanco approved applicator. DO NOT use any other applicator.
1. 15 mL CLiK™ Applicator fitted with a fan spray nozzle for sheep within the 21–30 kg weight band where a treatment band of 12 mL is required.
2. 10 mL CLiK™ Applicator fitted with a fan spray nozzle for marking and sheep where a treatment band ≤ 10 mL is required.
3. 30 mL Genesis Power Doser™ fitted with a fan spray nozzle.
A fan spray nozzle must be used to ensure that all areas of the sheep prone to flystrike are protected.
After use wash with warm, soapy water and rinse with clean water.
